Job Description:

Here at Peacocks, we have a fantastic opportunity for an FP&A Manager to join our expanding Finance department at our Head Office in Cardiff. If you would like to be part of a forward-thinking business and have a role with excellent career prospects, we would love to hear from you.

With a store portfolio of approximately 340 stores plus our expanding e-commerce business, we are growing our headcount to support this expansion over the next 3-5 years.

You will report to the Head of FP&A, working closely with them and the Finance Director in developing the company's strategic plan, as well as analyzing and reporting on performance across key areas including E-commerce, Distribution Centre, Shops, and Central Control Costs.

The responsibilities include:

1. Overview of monthly management accounts for Retail, Logistics, and Central costs
2. Production of weekly trading pack
3. Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and latest views, with a focus on accuracy for cash forecasting
4. Production and analysis of Store P&L’s
5. Production and analysis of E-commerce P&L
6. Monthly review meetings with budget holders
7. Quarterly store-by-store review meetings with Regional Managers
8. Preparation of monthly P&L Packs
9. Interpretation of financial and management information and providing recommendations to senior management
10. Providing financial management information for strategic and operational decisions
11. Challenging and supporting the commercial management team on financial matters, both short and long term
12. Ad-hoc trading analysis of promotions and offers

The candidate should be a qualified accountant (ICAEW, CIMA, or ACCA), with previous management experience, strong Excel skills (pivot tables, V-Lookups), and excellent communication skills. The ability to engage with both financial and non-financial stakeholders at senior levels is essential.
