This is a newly created FP+A Manager role for a private equity-backed manufacturing business based in Greater Manchester.
The company is a high-margin, bespoke manufacturer with a UK-wide reputation for best-in-class products, generating £80M in turnover. This role has been created following recent private equity investment and refinancing. You will manage a small team and report to the CFO, leading a transformation project focused on data, analysis, and world-class business partnering to ensure real-time financial insight into profitability and ROI across all business areas.
You will serve as the commercial right arm to the CFO and the board. The transformation project will require significant effort but is expected to substantially improve EBITDA, making this a business-critical appointment. There is potential exposure to a further refinance and a realistic exit in 3-5 years. If you are an FP+A professional—Manager, Head of, or Director—and ambitious to become a PE CFO within 3-5 years, this role offers valuable experience and knowledge to facilitate that transition, whether within this business or elsewhere.
Qualifications required include ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with substantial experience in an FP+A function. You should be proficient in generating and interpreting financial data and capable of explaining complex information to less financially experienced stakeholders, including the MD, CEO, COO, and board members. Expertise in Power BI and Excel is essential.
