Job summary

Harrison Holgate in London is seeking a proactive Account Handler or Broker Technician to join the Financial Lines broking team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will provide technical and administrative support, manage day-to-day servicing of client accounts, and assist with market submissions, renewals, and policy documentation.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and good IT skills with insurance systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance account handling, broking technician or technical support.
• London insurance market experience advantageous.
• Exposure to Financial Lines (PI, D&O, Cyber) desirable.
• Experience using Brokasure.
• Strong technical and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Confident communicating with brokers, underwriters and clients.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of insurance documentation and policy administration.
• Good IT skills and confidence with insurance systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day account handling and technical support to the Financial Lines broking team.
• Support brokers with the preparation, processing and administration of new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments.
• Assist with the production and processing of market submissions, slips, endorsements and policy documentation.
• Liaise with insurers, underwriters and clients to obtain information, documentation and updates.
• Manage policy administration, including checking documentation for accuracy and ensuring records are maintained.
• Monitor renewal dates and assist brokers in ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across internal systems.
• Ensure all relevant documentation and information is uploaded and maintained within Brokasure.
• Support premium processing, invoicing and other associated account administration.
• Proactively identify outstanding tasks and follow these through to completion.
• Build strong working relationships with brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders.
• Help improve processes and ensure the team operates as efficiently as possible.
