Job summary

Mansfield District Council is seeking a Financial Inclusion Officer to join the Housing Solutions Team. You will work in a busy, supportive environment to carry out financial assessment for prospective tenants and identify affordability for private rented housing.

The role includes budgeting, benefit and debt support, and assisting in homelessness and Homefinder application investigations. An Enhanced DBS check is required.

Closing date 27 September 2026, interviews 9 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial inclusion or housing affordability is desirable.
• Ability to assess income and benefits for tenants.
