A highly respected professional services business is seeking an accomplished Finance Director to join it's executive leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the organisation.

This is a rare opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to step into a strategic role that combines executive influence, business partnering and operational leadership. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and sitting on the senior leadership team, the successful individual will lead the finance function while supporting the delivery of ambitious growth plans across the wider business.

The organisation has undergone significant transformation in recent years, investing heavily in finance systems, business partnering capabilities and management information. As a result, finance has evolved into a highly valued commercial function. The next phase of the journey is focused on simplifying complex financial information, increasing commercial awareness across the business, embedding profitability-led decision making and leveraging technology, automation and AI to drive further efficiency and insight.

The Finance Director will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, partnering closely with senior stakeholders, supporting investment and growth initiatives, driving financial performance and ensuring robust governance and controls remain in place. The role will also involve leading budgeting and forecasting processes, overseeing financial reporting and tax matters, supporting partnership remuneration discussions and acting as a trusted adviser to executive leadership.

Alongside strong technical credentials, the successful candidate will be a visible and approachable leader with the ability to influence at all levels. They will be comfortable operating within a partnership or stakeholder-led environment and will possess the commercial acumen to translate financial data into clear, actionable business insights.

Experience within professional services environments would be particularly attractive, although candidates from other commercially focused sectors will also be considered.
