Job summary

The Jersey Evening Post is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to implement data management standards, ensure data quality, lifecycle management, metadata, and data privacy. The role focuses on governance frameworks and collaboration across teams to manage information risk.

This full-time position is based in Jersey and requires eligibility to work in the jurisdiction as no relocation or sponsorship is offered.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in data analysis and management.
• Understanding of data structures and how data moves between systems.
• Familiarity with data lifecycle management and related regulatory standards.
• Experience with data security and quality, as well as compliance risk management.
• Good problem-solving skills and knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Competence in articulating and documenting information clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Implement data and information management operating standards including data quality and protection.
• Support the business in understanding data utilisation through analytical tools and methodologies.
• Drive adherence to the Data Governance Framework and elevate compliance issues.
• Articulate the value of data in business processes to help stakeholders understand its significance.
• Execute change management programmes to educate on data management and governance.
• Establish data quality rules and metrics to ensure consistency across data elements.
• Report on data-related information risks while collaborating with other risk partners.
