Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Financial Crime Operations Specialist - Quality Control to serve as a subject matter expert across CDD, EDD, SoW, screening and investigations. You will conduct independent QC reviews, assess decision quality, and drive improvements with operational teams to strengthen controls and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with senior stakeholders, data-driven insights, and coaching colleagues to raise capability within a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in financial crime controls, QA/QC, and risk management.
• Solid understanding of AML, KYC, and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent quality control reviews across financial crime activities (CDD, EDD, SoW, sanctions, monitoring, investigations).
• Assess quality and effectiveness of decisions, identify errors and control weaknesses.
• Produce detailed QC findings, root cause analysis and MI to drive improvements.
• Provide feedback and coaching to operational teams to enhance capability.
• Support design, testing and enhancements of financial crime controls and monitoring.
