Job summary

EXPERIS in Bristol is seeking a Financial Accounting & Controls Manager on a contract basis to drive transformation across accounting, governance and reporting for a large-scale programme. You will own the financial reporting, strengthen controls, and lead technical accounting and process improvements in a fast-paced environment, with hybrid working and an initial three-month term.

Qualifications

Qualified Accountant with IFRS knowledge and accounting policy experience.
Experience preparing technical accounting papers and supporting complex judgements.
Experience operating within robust financial control and governance environments.

Responsibilities

Ensure financial results are recorded in the General Ledger with integrity and compliance.
Review and approve accounting treatments for complex transactions.
Prepare technical accounting papers and support key accounting judgements.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
Own and maintain robust financial processes and control frameworks.
Document, test, and operate controls; drive governance improvements.
Drive standardisation and automation across finance activities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to embed improvements and enhance reporting quality.
