Job Description: Financial Controller (Warrington)

About the role:

This part-time role involves working with our client in Warrington's growing retail sector. You will oversee financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain robust financial controls to support business growth.

About you:

You should be an experienced Financial Controller, preferably self-employed, with at least 2 days available per week, and experienced in managing SMEs. You must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE with 5+ years managing a finance team.

Your expertise should include:

  • Management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Budgets, cash flow, and profit forecasting
  • Experience with Xero
  • Managing and leading a small team
  • Assessing and implementing financial controls
  • Year-end processes (excluding statutory accounts)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivots, sumifs, graphs)
  • Presenting financial data to non-financial leaders

Additional details:

  • Rate: £35/hour
  • Location: Onsite 2 days/week
