Job summary

The Xavier Catholic Education Trust (Xavier CET) is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the central finance team in Chertsey. The role focuses on financial accounting, statutory reporting, compliance, capital accounting and treasury management.

You will oversee cashflow, coordinate statutory accounts and audits, and provide technical accounting guidance across the Trust. A qualified accountant with strong communication and organisational skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting and reporting experience.
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cashflow management.
• Experience of coordinating statutory accounts, audit and regulatory reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organisational skills; managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead for financial accounting, statutory reporting, compliance and capital accounting.
• Oversee treasury and cashflow management and drive continuous improvement of finance systems and controls.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to school and central finance colleagues.
