Job summary

Premier Foods invites an experienced Finance professional to partner with the Director of Procurement and Head of Logistics, providing financial insight and supporting strategic decisions across the procurement and logistics spend.

You will lead planning, budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, and scenario modelling, driving cost control, inflation tracking, and automation to improve performance. This hybrid role offers progression to Finance leadership and cross-functional opportunities.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with post-qualification experience.
• Experience in FMCG supply chain finance and cost control.
• Advanced financial modelling and data analysis.
• Strong communication to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Director of Procurement and Head of Logistics to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities across Procurement and Logistics.
• Overseeing month-end reporting, providing robust analysis and commentary on key variances and performance drivers.
• Tracking inflationary impacts and identifying key risks and opportunities across the supply chain.
• Supporting critical business decisions through financial modelling, scenario planning and commercial analysis.
• Enhancing freight reporting and analytical tools to improve visibility of actual and forecast cost drivers.
• Working closely with Commercial teams to understand market trends, volume drivers and pricing opportunities.
• Leading Supply Chain inputs into commercial pricing reviews.
• Driving process simplification, automation initiatives and financial control improvements.
• Acting as the Finance lead for identifying, quantifying and tracking savings initiatives across procurement, energy and logistics.
• Partnering with colleagues across Finance to assess topics such as FX exposure, packaging taxes, sustainability and legislative changes.

What we're looking for

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with strong post-qualification experience.
• Experience within FMCG and a proven track record in supply chain finance, procurement cost control and/or logistics optimisation.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insight.
• Strong commercial acumen and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting, business planning and performance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience of ERP systems, ideally SAP.
• A strategic mindset, with the ability to anticipate future challenges and identify opportunities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance and operational teams.
