Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a growing consultancy to recruit a part-time Financial Controller for its team in the Greater Belfast area. The role leads the finance function, delivering commercial insight to the leadership team and shaping reporting, processes and controls.

You will report to the Directors, manage monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, year-end, and collaborate on pricing and growth initiatives.

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing consultancy business to recruit a part-time Financial Controller to join its team based in the Greater Belfast area.

Following continued growth, the organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function and provide high-quality commercial insight to the senior leadership team.

The Rewards

As the successful Financial Controller, you will receive:

• £50,000 - £60,000 (FTE) and benefits package;

The Role

As the successful Financial Controller you will report directly to the Company Directors, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts & reporting packs;
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow cycles;
• Overseeing transactional finance, working capital, payroll, VAT and statutory compliance;
• Managing the year-end process and relationships with external accountants and auditors;
• Strengthening financial controls, systems, reporting dashboards and processes;
• Supporting pricing, strategic planning and wider business growth initiatives.

The Person

The successful Financial Controller will meet the following criteria:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent;
• Strong senior finance experience;
• Strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management experience;
