Job summary

Bowers Metrology in Bradford seeks a Financial Controller to lead the finance function. You will manage monthly management accounts, prepare financial reporting and provide commercial insights to the management team.

The role requires a strong background in manufacturing finance, excellent Excel skills, and experience with budgeting, forecasting and standard costing. Some travel to Atlas site in Sheffield may be required.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing finance background with understanding of standard costing and production variances.
• Qualified or part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Experience with management accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
• SAP experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly management accounts and financial reporting (P&L, cash flow, forecasting).
• Support budgeting, planning and forecasting processes.
• Oversee standard costing and production variances; analyze margins.
• Provide financial insight to support business decisions and performance.
• Support group reporting, audit preparation and stock takes.
