Trinity House Group are delighted to be working in an exclusive partnership with this market leading SME, as we support them in the recruitment of Financial Controller, based in Leicester. The business are going through a period of transition, and as such we require a candidate who thrives in a growing, fast-paced environment.

Your primary purpose is to drive the internal controls and improve the business performance. Reporting into the Finance Director, this is a key role, where you will be implementing processes and strategically driving profitability.

The Job:

You will be a hands-on, established manufacturing Financial Controller, with proven experience of building strong relationships within the non-financial operational managers to take a joined up, proactive approach.

Duties include:

• Completion of timely and accurate month end close.
• Produce weekly KPI reports to give business visibility of margin analysis and production output.
• Cost analysis to identify key variances and trends.
• Compile annual budgets and forecasts ensuring financial delivery of the strategic plan.
• Identify improvements within finance systems and implement new process and procedures for best practice, driving business intelligence and efficiencies.
• Lead the annual audit process.
• Oversee the accuracy of all ledgers including robust balance sheet reconciliations and control.

Requirements:

• Resilient self-starter who identifies problems and implements solutions.
• Exposure to a managing a small team.
• Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail with a strong methodical approach to creating and reporting data.
• Experience overseeing management accounts, business reporting and financial operations.
• Commercial acumen, ideally within an SME manufacturing environment.
• Positive and resilient, used to a busy way of working.
• This is a hybrid role, with flexible working hours.
