Job summary

The Part-Time Finance People are seeking a Financial Controller in Liverpool to lead the finance function. This hands-on role focuses on accurate reporting, strong controls, and commercial insight to support decision making.

You will own monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasting, budgeting, balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborate with business owners and senior leaders across the Liverpool region. Onsite work 2–3 days per week with clients.

• Proven ability to improve controls and processes.

Financial Controller – Liverpool

We’re building capacity for future growth and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Liverpool. This role is perfect for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, forward‑thinking environment.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the finance function — strengthening financial processes and controls, producing clear and insightful management information, and supporting strategic decision‑making through robust budgeting and forecasting.

This is a chance to make a real impact as we expand our presence in the Liverpool region, working closely with business owners and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding financial performance and insight.

The Role

Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and clear commercial insight to support decision‑making.

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and reporting packs


• Cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis


• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of ledger integrity


• Reviewing and improving financial controls and internal processes


• Supporting senior stakeholders with commercial and operational insight


• Managing a small finance team


• Experience using Xero, knowledge of Sage50 or QuickBooks is beneficial

The Opportunity
