Job summary

Octopus Energy is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our Finance team. This role is crucial for managing day-to-day financial operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting. Candidates should have a strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, and prior experience with complex audits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years post-qualification experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
• Experience managing complex audits and inventory.
• Comfortable presenting to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly divisional and consolidated management accounts.
• Own the annual audit process, acting as primary point of contact for external auditors.
• Perform balance-sheet and inter-company reconciliations.
