Job summary

EVEREC in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own day-to-day finance activities and deliver accurate reporting for senior leadership. This hands-on role sits in a growing SME, partnering with engineering, procurement, operations and commercial teams on cost control and financial performance.

You will lead month-end close, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management, maintain strong internal controls, manage VAT and year-end processes, and drive improvements

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or strong equivalent experience.
• Experience as Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Head of Finance.
• Strong management accounting and financial controls.
• Experience with month-end, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Solid working capital management and financial controls.
• Hands-on SME/scale-up environment experience.
• Strong Excel and finance systems capability.
• Commercial mindset and ability to work with non-finance teams.
• Experience in automotive/engineering/manufacturing/tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day finance activities and month-end close.
• Produce P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, VAT, and compliance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and re-forecasting.
• Provide financial analysis to support decisions.
• Coordinate year-end accounts and external audits.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, ops and commercial teams.
• Improve finance systems, reporting and automation.
