This role is within a highly successful hedge fund. Due to the firm's growth, they are hiring a new Financial Controller to work on various projects supporting further expansion.

The role reports to a high-caliber Finance Director and is part of a collaborative Group Accounts team of 8. The successful candidate will oversee finance functions across management companies in seven global jurisdictions, gaining exposure to core finance, tax, regulatory, and operational areas. Responsibilities include managing external advisors for statutory and management accounts (under FRS 102 and US GAAP), leading regulatory reporting (including ICARA), and overseeing audits for regulated and unregulated entities. The role also involves developing financial planning models—such as budgets, forecasts, FP&A, and liquidity analysis—and producing internal reports and ad hoc analyses for senior stakeholders. Additionally, the role supports internal controls enhancement and contributes to automating and optimizing finance processes through proprietary tools.

The team seeks fully qualified candidates with at least 5 years of post-qualified experience. Prior hedge fund experience is highly desirable (or experience within other buy-side firms), and audit experience is a plus. The firm values high-caliber individuals with strong academic backgrounds.
