Job summary

JSS in London is seeking a Financial Controller to join the executive committee, reporting to the CFO and MD. You will lead the finance function, oversee a team and external providers, and drive controls and reporting.

You will own month-end closings, annual statements, cashflow monitoring and close collaboration with EXCO, with autonomy to shape the finance operation and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day ownership of the accounting records.
• Understand and own the month-end close process.
• Own the year-end close process and manage the statutory audit.
• Understand and monitor the cashflow position.
• Stay laser-focused on controls.
• Deliver timely, accurate and insightful management reporting.
• Prepare annual financial statements.
• Manage key relationships, including the CFO, MD, shareholders and outsourced providers.
• Own the financial operations.
• Participate in the management of the company through the executive committee (EXCO).
• Manage the finance team.

About the Role

This is a key hire for the business. Reporting directly to the CFO and Managing Director, the Financial Controller sits on the firm's executive committee and plays an active role in the day-to-day management of the company.
