We are seeking a fully qualified Financial Controller with a proven track record in the Media/Creative Agency industry.

The role is based in Central London and offers a full-time permanent position, reporting to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities include managing the month-end process, statutory accounting, assisting auditors, developing accounting controls, and delivering management information.

The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office weekly. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant capable of working in a busy media agency environment and managing a team of one.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing the month-end process, management accounts, and board packs
• Annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting
• Cash flow preparation
• Production of statutory accounts and internal financial reports
• Processing fee and expense billings, WIP management, revenue and expense recognition
• VAT returns management and compliance
• Management reporting including revenue recognition and variance analysis
• Reviewing and improving accounting and MIS systems
• Managing daily financial operations and team
• Supporting commercial projects with the Head of Finance
• Reconciliation of budgets and production jobs in Paprika
• Overseeing weekly job profitability reports
• Supporting and managing finance team members
• Performing other financial duties as required

Requirements:

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant
• Experience in the Media/Creative industry preferred
• Experience with revenue recognition and WIP management
• Familiarity with Paprika is advantageous
• Previous managerial experience beneficial
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong MS Excel skills and systems knowledge
