Job summary

CV Screen is recruiting an office-based Financial Controller in Rochdale, offering a salary up to £60,000 plus bonus and benefits. You will lead day-to-day financial control, deliver accurate reporting, and maintain robust controls while developing the finance team. This is a pathway toward a Finance Director role.

The role focuses on month-end close, forecasting, cash flow, and improving processes in a well-established construction business.

Qualifications

• Experience in month-end close and reporting.
• Strong cash flow forecasting and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling.
• VAT and CIS experience preferred.
• Experience in construction sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close with timely reports.
• Maintain strong control environment across reconciliations and journals.
• Analyse margins, overheads, working capital and project performance.
• Ensure VAT/CIS returns and audit schedules are accurate and timely.
• Lead and develop the finance team and improve systems.
