Job summary

Everything Tech Limited in Mansfield is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the finance function, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and regulatory compliance.

You will support the CFO and executive team with planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and strategic analysis, while coaching and developing the finance staff.

The role offers a hands-on environment with exposure to audits, tax matters, and continuous improvements across finance systems and processes.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in financial management or controller roles.
  • Experience preparing management and statutory accounts.
  • Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management experience.
  • Proven experience developing finance staff.
  • Strong experience using financial systems and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial management and reporting.
  • Support CFO and senior leadership with financial planning and analysis.
  • Prepare monthly and annual management accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.
  • Manage year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Maintain integrity of the general ledger and financial records.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax legislation and policies.
  • Manage VAT, corporation tax and payroll taxes and statutory reporting.
  • Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity.
  • Provide variance analysis and investigate key trends.
  • Lead and develop the finance team.
  • Set objectives and performance standards for finance staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation in finance processes.
  • Collaborate on strategic projects and budget holders' initiatives.

Job Purpose

The Financial Controller is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Group's Finance Function, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective management of the team. The role supports strategic decision-making through the provision of timely and insightful financial information and helps drive business performance through effective financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management & Reporting
  • Support the CFO and senior leadership team with financial planning and business analysis.
  • Prepare and overseemonthly and annual management accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financialreporting to senior management and stakeholders.
