Job summary

Altum Consulting in London is supporting a fast-growing technology business to appoint a UK Financial Controller responsible for the UK finance function, controls and reporting.

This hands-on role reports into the Group Financial Controller in Europe and offers exposure to senior stakeholders as the business scales. Hybrid working in London and clear progression into broader leadership roles are on offer.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills.
• Experience owning month-end processes and statutory reporting.
• Experience improving processes and automating with AI.
• Exposure to regulated fintech/banking or public disclosure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the UK finance function and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Lead month-end and year-end closes and statutory reporting.
• Maintain strong financial controls and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Collaborate with global finance teams and key stakeholders.
