Job Description:

To £90K Dependent on Experience

Location: Nottinghamshire

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Office in Nottinghamshire, working from home Wed-Fri, travel to Head Office Mon-Tues)

Our client is a highly respected financial services organisation (Mortgage & Savings). Due to a restructure, they are recruiting for an Interim Financial Controller for 6 months, with immediate availability required. The role involves managing a team of 4, overseeing financial operations, compliance, reporting, and risk management, with a handover period included.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage month and year-end reporting, liaising with auditors.
  • Control of ALMIS system and treasury back office.
  • Understanding and sign-off of regulatory returns.
  • Prepare financial reports for the Board.
  • Produce ICAAP and Recovery Plan if needed.
  • Oversee FRS 102 reporting, bad debt provisions, hedge accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with FRS102 changes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE.
  • Experience in PRA regulated financial services, preferably mortgage lending.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of PRA regulation, ICAAP & ILAAP.
  • Understanding of ALMIS treasury system.
  • Excel and MI skills.
