Financial Controller (Exclusive/15 month FTC)

VANRATH is delighted to be working exclusively with a dynamic business to recruit a commercially astute Financial Controller for a 15-month fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role within a fast-paced, diverse business.

What you'll do

• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations for a small, high-performing finance team.
• Review monthly management accounts for multiple entities within the group.
• Provide P&L variance analysis against budgets, acquisition models, and prior years, demonstrating a strong understanding of the business.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts; maintain company cash flows.
• Coordinate and prepare monthly reporting packs for investors and stakeholders.
• Oversee the annual audit process for multiple groups, liaising with auditors, ensuring compliance with audit standards, and reviewing the final audited financial statements.
• Liaise with external tax consultants to ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.

About you

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior financial management role.
• Proven experience in management reporting, financial reporting, budgeting, and managing audits.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present and work closely with senior stakeholders.
