Job summary

Quality Personnel is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function in a standalone role. You will report directly to the Managing Director and combine strong technical accounting with commercial insight to support strategic decisions.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification, senior finance experience, and robust reporting capabilities. Office-based with UK remuneration package reflecting £50,000–£60,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role.
• Strong technical accounting, reporting, and analytical skills.
• Commercial awareness with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly management accounts, financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure statutory and tax compliance.
• Manage accounts payable, receivable and working capital.
• Provide financial analysis and commercial insight to support business performance.
• Manage external accountants, auditors and other financial stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and efficiency.

Financial Controller

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced, commercially minded Financial Controller to take ownership of their finance function in a key stand-alone role, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who can combine strong technical accounting expertise with commercial insight, providing accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly management accounts, financial reporting and month-end processes.

About You

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent.

• Confident communicating financial information to senior management.
• Able to work autonomously, take ownership and manage competing priorities.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP systems.

SAP experience would be extremely beneficial.
