A leading retail organisation in the health and wellness industry is seeking a Financial Controller to join its finance team in North West London. This role is a 6 month fixed term contract.

The Role

The Financial Controller will play a key role in driving the company’s financial performance through accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and robust compliance processes. This position is ideal for a qualified finance professional looking to step into a hands-on role within a fast-paced, evolving business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports, including full P&L and balance sheet
• Manage the Accounts Payable/Receivable functions and Credit Control team
• Review and update bad debt provisions
• Ensure compliance with financial processes and internal controls
• Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations
• Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage royalty and partnership income tracking
• Post and reconcile loan movements
• Conduct FX revaluations using ERP system
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts
• Assist with drafting quarterly board reporting packs
• Play a key role in year-end accounts preparation and audit processes
• Implement new revenue recognition and leasing standards
• Work closely with senior finance leadership to enhance reporting tools

Candidate Profile

• Experience in financial reporting and analysis
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP/IFRS
• Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with 3 - 5 years PQE)
• Prior involvement in audit processes
