IFF Talent - Ingham Frankland Fide is seeking a Financial Controller in Leeds with strong UK GAAP and statutory reporting skills. The role combines hands-on accounting with a strategic governance remit as the group scales.
You will own month-end and year-end across the group, produce statutory accounts for all entities, and lead a small team while partnering with FP&A and Treasury to ensure reporting accuracy and timely insight.
You know that moment when you’re not looking for a new job, but something lands in front of you that makes you think… "Oh… that’s interesting." This is one of those.
This business is a fast-growing group that has been on an acquisition spree with loads of moving parts, and a finance function that is ready for someone who can bring calm, structure and a bit of grown‑up governance.
We are looking for a Financial Controller who is technically sharp, and not afraid to roll their sleeves up. Someone who can take a division that is scaling quickly and make sure the numbers, controls and reporting are as strong as the ambition.
And here is the bit most adverts never say out loud: This role has headroom. Real headroom. If you’re good, you won’t just be "the FC." You will become the person the divisional FD leans on, the person the business trusts, and the person who naturally steps into bigger conversations.
Because it’s not a tidy, polished, everything‑already‑perfect FC job.
It’s interesting. It’s messy in places. It’s evolving, and you will be right in the middle of shaping how the Group operates for years to come.
You will have influence, visibility, and the chance to leave a proper mark, not just keep the lights on.
And as the division continues to grow, integrate and mature, your role grows with it.
