The role is offered on a full time, permanent basis to be predominantly based from the business’ headquarters in St. Austell.
The new Financial Controller will essentially assume the role of finance-number-one, working closely with the company’s directors and senior management team, as well as supervising a small but highly efficient finance team.
Think you’ve got what it takes? We’re looking for an exceptional FC that possesses A1 technical experience as well sound commercial judgement. You’ll be taking a lead role in ensuring the efficient financial controls of a very busy function with multiple income streams. We’re seeking a candidate who feels as comfortable with management reporting as they do statutory accounting, leading audits, budgeting, forecasting and benchmarking. A professionally qualified individual (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), and/or with significant vocational experience, you’ll need a solid background in the preparation of financial and management reports, up to date knowledge of accounting standards and budgetary controls. You’ll be a natural leader with past experience in managing your own team, developing their skills and mentoring their progress. Your skills in identifying potential improvements and leading finance projects will be demonstrable and your experience of using technology in previous roles will be obvious. Most importantly, you’ll possess the ability to recognise the values and cultures of a growing business and hit the ground running within a friendly and likeminded team environment.
