Job summary

COREcruitment Ltd is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller for a multi-site restaurant group in London. You will work closely with Operations to turn financial insight into commercial impact, lead month-end and site-level reporting, and build robust financial controls as the business scales.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with at least five years post-qualification experience and a proven ability to partner with Operations across a growing estate.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with at least five years post-qualified experience.
• Proven experience in the restaurant sector.
• Strong track record of partnering with Operations in a multi-site environment.
• Experience implementing financial controls and improving processes.
• Solid technical accounting knowledge including IFRS 16 and strong margins/labour/cost understanding.
• Confident communicator who can challenge constructively and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, management accounts, site-level P&L and KPI reporting.
• Partner with Operations to challenge performance and drive improvements.
• Monitor gross profit, wastage, stock, labour costs and margins.
• Implement and embed robust financial controls across the estate.
• Oversee revenue controls, reconciliations, cash flow and working capital.
• Lead and develop the finance team and support new site openings.

We're looking for a hands-on, commercially minded Financial Controller to join an exciting, fast-growing restaurant group with ambitious expansion plans.

This is more than a traditional FC role. You'll combine strong financial control with close business partnering, operational collaboration and the implementation of robust financial controls across a growing multi-site restaurant estate.

Working closely with the Finance Director and Operations teams, you'll help improve site performance, protect margins and build the financial processes needed to support the business as it scales.

A snapshot of your responsibilities:

• Own month-end, management accounts, site-level P&Ls and KPI reporting.
• Partner with Operations to challenge performance, identify opportunities and drive commercial improvements.
• Monitor gross profit, wastage, stock, labour costs and site-level margins.
• Implement and embed robust financial controls, improving processes, accuracy and accountability across the estate.
• Oversee revenue controls, reconciliations, cash flow and working capital.
• Manage statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance and lease accounting (IFRS 16).
• Lead and develop the finance team while supporting new site openings and business growth.

What we're looking for:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with at least five years' post-qualified experience.
• Essential: proven experience within the restaurant sector.
• Strong track record of business partnering with Operations in a multi-site environment.
• Experience implementing financial controls and improving processes.
