The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director and based at head office, the Financial Controller will be the most senior finance presence on-site. You'll be responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation of Sage 200 and helping embed it as the new operational standard.
- Taking full ownership of credit control and aged debt reduction.
- Producing accurate and timely management information and financial reporting.
- Ensuring strong financial controls and compliance across the business.
- Managing and supporting two finance team members based at other UK sites.
- Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Supporting the business through IPO preparation and future M&A activity.
This is a full-time, office-based role in central Edinburgh with flexibility as needed to meet business demands.
The Ideal CandidateMandatory- Significant operational finance experience, ideally as a senior Management Accountant, Financial Controller or equivalent.
- Deep working knowledge of Sage 200-confident and capable in a multi-entity environment.
- Strong core accounting skills with a track record of delivering accurate and timely management information.
- Full ownership of credit control processes.
- Resilient, energetic, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Able to work full-time on-site with flexibility as needed to meet business demands.
Beneficial- Experience supporting a system implementation, particularly Sage 200.
- Exposure to IPO preparation or working in a publicly listed company.
- Familiarity with stock/inventory accounting.
- Experience or interest in M&A activity.
- A driven, ambitious mindset with a desire to grow alongside a scaling business.
On Offer- Salary in the region of £48,000-£55,000, depending on experience.
