Job summary

Heap & Co in South Cambridge is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead the finance function, delivering high-quality financial insight and reporting to the senior leadership team. This role covers financial control, commercial analysis, process improvement, and team leadership.

You will manage monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, and support external audits, with responsibility for month-end and year-end closes.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
• Strong management accounting, reporting, and analytical skills.
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar environment would be advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on SME environment.
• Strong systems and ERP knowledge with a continuous improvement mindset.

An established manufacturing business based in South Cambridge is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its finance function and support the senior leadership team with high-quality financial insight and reporting.
