Job summary

Alexander Lloyd is partnering with a rapidly expanding PE-backed SAAS business in Central Sussex seeking a Qualified ACA/ACCA Financial Controller. This is ideal for someone moving from practice to industry for their next step.

Responsibilities include owning UK trial balances, posting journals with high accuracy, maintaining an audit-ready GL, delivering monthly management packs, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and a system migration project.

Qualifications

• Practice trained with UK entity experience.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly UK trial balances and ensure accuracy and reconciliation.
• Post journals with technical accuracy including consolidations and intercompany items.
• Maintain audit-ready GL and timely close.
• Deliver monthly management reporting pack with P&L, variance analysis and commentary.
• Assist with FP&A and cash flow forecasting.
• Support budgeting and reforecasting cycles.
• Assist with system migration and data integrity during transition to BAU reporting.

Due to continued growth and working alongside a truly outstanding FD the business are looking for a Qualified ACA/ACCA Financial Controller

This is the perfect opportunity for someone making the first move from practice or who is practice trained moved into industry and looking for that next step!

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Own the trial balances for all UK legal entities, ensuring accounting entries are accurate, complete, and reconciled at each month-end close
• Review and post journals with a high degree of technical accuracy, including areas such as consolidations, intercompany transactions, and financial instruments
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure the books are audit-ready at all times
• Identify and resolve reconciling items promptly, escalating where appropriate rather than letting issues sit
• Deliver the monthly management reporting pack to deadline, covering P&L, variance analysis and commentary,
• Assist with financial planning and analysis,
• Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts, keeping assumptions current and flagging material movements early
• Support budgeting and reforecasting cycles as required
• Play an active role in the new system migration, owning data integrity, chart of accounts mapping, and the transition to BAU reporting
