Your new company
Your new company is a highly entrepreneurial financial advisory SME. Due to substantial growth over the last 3 years, they are now looking to recruit a first-time Financial Controller to lead their finance function. The role is based in Chorley, the hours 9AM - 5PM, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Your new role
As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial operations and strategy of the business. You will take full ownership of day-to-day financial activities, working closely with the board to provide strategic insight and direction. Leading a small but dedicated finance team, you will be responsible for coaching and developing team members while continuously improving processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. This is a high-impact role that offers the opportunity to influence the financial health and future growth of the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with proven experience in the financial services sector. You will bring strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams. A deep understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
