Job summary

GALENT are recruiting for a Financial Controller opportunity for an experienced qualified accountant seeking to join a rapidly growing, asset-backed business based in Peterborough. The role is offered on a permanent basis with hybrid working and accommodation support for longer travel.

The successful candidate will lead month-end reporting, enhance controls, oversee budgeting and project accounting across multi-entity structures within a PE-backed renewable energy platform.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Previous Financial Controller experience.
• Experience within infrastructure, construction, utilities, renewable energy or asset-intensive environments.
• Experience with project accounting and capital expenditure reporting.
• Strong commercial awareness and business partnering capability.
• Hands-on approach in a growing organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end reporting process and produce accurate management accounts.
• Develop and enhance financial controls, governance and reporting frameworks.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting.
• Support statutory reporting, audit processes and technical accounting matters.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, project accounting and capex reporting.
• Drive improvements in financial systems and reporting processes.
• Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to support business decisions.
