Job summary

IPS Finance is seeking a Financial Controller for an ambitious PE-backed group in Altofts. The role reports to the CFO and leads three Management Accountants, driving robust financial reporting, controls and commercial insight across the group.

You will manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow, ensuring balance sheet integrity while supporting strategic projects and system improvements. Hybrid working with 2–3 days WFH and a clear succession plan are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong financial control experience.
• Experience leading finance teams.
• Experience in PE-backed environments is a plus.
• Strong reporting and cash-flow management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop three Management Accountants and the wider finance team.
• Oversee monthly management accounts and group financial reporting.
• Support CFO with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Maintain robust financial controls and balance sheet integrity.
• Provide commercial analysis and insights to senior management.
• Manage month-end and year-end processes.
• Develop finance processes and reporting across the group.
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial performance.

# Financial Controller,October 3, 2026### Job Description* Permanent* Altofts* £75,000 - £90,000 per annum + Benefits**CV-Library**An excellent opportunity for an ambitious Financial Controller to join a successful, PE-backed group with turnover of approximately £50m.This a hybrid working opportunity with 2 to 3 days WFH.Reporting to an experienced CFO, you will take responsibility for the financial control function, managing three Management Accountants and the wider finance team. You will play a key role in ensuring strong financial reporting, controls and commercial insight across the group.The role offers a genuine long-term career opportunity, with the CFO actively looking to develop a successor.
