Job Description

Here at esure Group, we have an exciting new role for a Financial Control Analyst!

Join our multifaceted Finance team as a vital contributor to the documentation, review, testing, and reporting of controls within our Finance department. You will be instrumental in managing an effective and proportionate financial control framework, addressing actual or potential control issues efficiently, and ensuring that all financial activities align with professional standards and governance principles.

What will my role entail?

  1. Perform the Finance Risk Champion role.

  3. Test business controls and prepare remediation action plans for any failed controls.
  4. Liaise with the business to document processes and prepare process flow charts.
  5. Track and supervise the outcomes of internal and/or external audits and reviews.
  6. Prepare Finance control MI reports regularly or on an ad hoc basis to meet business needs.
  7. Engage with finance and business leaders to advocate for and communicate good financial control practices, ensuring appropriate actions are taken when necessary.
  8. Support the Regulatory Reporting and Financial Reporting teams when requested.

Qualifications

You are a good fit for the role if you have the following:

  • An understanding of controls and their application in an insurance environment.
  • High standards in both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.

We’d also love you to possess:

  • SOX, internal, or external audit experience.
  • Knowledge of general insurance accounting.
  • Sophisticated digital literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in controls and risk management within an insurance company.
  • Experience in reporting at the Group Executive level.
