Accounts Assistant - Financial Services Group - Paying £30,000 + Benefits - London Office (Hybrid Role)

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant for a private equity-backed financial services group, comprising a rapidly growing wealth management business and complementary services such as mortgage and insurance brokerage.

With around 100 employees and ambitious growth targets, the group has increased its assets under management from under £200 million to over £1 billion in just a few years.

The company is known for its collaborative and positive work culture.

This is a newly created, office-based role in London, offering room for development and growth as the business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and post supplier invoices into the accounting system
• Prepare and carry out weekly/monthly payment runs
• Liaise with managers for invoice approvals
• Resolve supplier queries and reconcile statements
• Generate customer invoices within the accounting system
• Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely payments
• Support credit control processes when needed
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end closing processes
• Maintain accurate records and ensure ledgers are current
• Provide ad-hoc support to the wider finance team
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar finance or ledger-based role
• Competency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
• AAT /ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualification (or currently studying) is desirable but not essential
• Must have a recent degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
