Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Finance Analyst to partner with multiple functions, handling project accounting, cost compliance and monthly close in SAP, ensuring accurate margins and adherence to financial reporting guidelines.

You will work in a hybrid role (remote/office) in Warwick, collaborating with engineering and field services to drive budgeting, forecasting and financial control. A qualified or part-qualified accountant with 3–5 years' project accounting experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality business partnering to multiple functions.

• Produce monthly reports including forecasting, variances, cost of sale, revenue and EBIT.
• Lead month-end tasks, journals, accruals in SAP and ensure correct margins.

As a Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting these goals by providing high-quality business partnering to multiple functions within the business. You will have a range of areas to support from providing Project Accounting support through to cost compliance of Engineering functions, all whilst ensuring the business is aligning to the Financial Reporting Guidelines.

How you’ll make a difference

• The successful candidate will be a strong team player who is self-motivated and able to take the initiative with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Partnering with Operational areas of the Business (Engineering, Field Service, Training to name a few) to provide day-to-day support
• Provide information to enable Project Manager(s) and Commercial Project Manager(s) to control project spend and risks
• Production of monthly reports, including forecasting, variance analysis, cost of sale, revenue, EBIT and balance sheet items
• Ensure internal and external Audit compliance
• Lead month end tasks including the raising of journals, accruals and prepayments, ensure correct margins are being shown in SAP

What you bring

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant or relevant experience
• 3- 5 years proven project accounting experience is desirable
• Good knowledge of reporting, budgeting and forecasting principles and processes
• SAP and Excel experience
• Ability to interpret and apply accounting and other relevant guidelines
• Strong communicator with the ability to challenge and influence others
• Desire and ability to work closely and develop productive relationships with both finance staff and other functions
• Result and quality driven with attention to detail
