Service Care Solutions are recruiting a Finance Analyst to join a local authority in London on a temporary basis to manage Pension Fund financial reporting and accounting. The postholder will work on accountability for the Pension Fund and coordinate year-end processes.

The role requires a qualified accountant or equivalent, with experience in financial reporting and strong Oracle Financials skills; a proactive analyst who can meet tight deadlines and assist with audit queries.

Qualificações

• Qualified accountant or equivalent experience with strong financial accounting controls.
• Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, year‑end processes and statutory returns; local government or pension fund experience desirable.
• Strong analytical and systems skills, including Oracle Financials; ability to identify trends, variances and financial risks.

Responsabilidades

• Produce accurate Pension Fund financial reports, annual accounts, annual reports and supporting working papers.
• Reconcile the financial ledger to LGPS and Teachers' Pension records, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate income and expenditure reporting.
• Complete year-end adjustments, statutory returns, account disclosures and respond promptly to audit queries.
• Provide financial monitoring and analysis, support Pension Fund Committee and Board reports, and assist with investment strategy and transactions.

Job Description

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in London for a Finance Analyst to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will play a key role in the financial management and reporting of the Pension Fund. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong accounting experience and an understanding on pension fund accounting, particularly within the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate Pension Fund financial reports, annual accounts, annual reports and supporting working papers.
• Reconcile the financial ledger to LGPS and Teachers' Pension records, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate income and expenditure reporting.
• Complete year-end adjustments, statutory returns, account disclosures and respond promptly to audit queries.

Candidate Criteria
