Job summary

Morgan Hunt is seeking a Financial Accountant to join a busy Financial Accounts Team in the United Kingdom. You will contribute to statutory reporting, external audit support and technical accounting to ensure accurate financial statements.

The role focuses on year-end reporting, reconciliations and strengthening the financial control environment, working with internal teams, auditors and stakeholders to meet deadlines and maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial accounting and financial reporting, including year-end activities.
• Understanding of accounting standards and financial controls; FRS 102 desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and analytical skills, with ability to manage deadlines and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation and delivery of annual financial statements, including schedules and reconciliations.
• Coordinate and support external audit process, handling information requests and queries.
• Provide technical accounting support, reviewing accounting treatments for transactions.
• Support the financial control environment with balance sheet reconciliations and year-end journals.
• Collaborate with Finance teams, auditors and stakeholders to improve financial reporting.
