Job summary

Control Risks Group Holdings Ltd is seeking a Financial Accountant to lead multi-entity accounting, close processes and governance. You will mentor junior staff, drive improvements and partner with senior stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting.

Responsibilities include owning month-end close, journal reviews, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting, while supporting audits and process automation initiatives across service lines.

Qualifications

• Actively working towards ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
• Significant experience within financial accounting or finance operations.
• Strong month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
• Experience of accruals, prepayments, intercompany accounting and financial controls.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems (D365 preferable).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven output in existing position.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close activities for assigned entities and service lines, delegating tasks to juniors.
• Prepare and review complex journals including accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, reallocations and reclassifications.
• Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and reporting requirements.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Review revenue recognition, deferred income, WIP, accruals and project accounting transactions.
• Support statutory audits and provide audit evidence.
• Investigate accounting issues and recommend appropriate treatments.
• Deliver high-quality financial information within reporting deadlines.
• Provide financial analysis and commentary to Finance Managers and stakeholders.
• Lead on service line P&L reviews during month-end close.
• Champion process improvements and Automation opportunities.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Promote consistency across the Finance Hub.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and control.
