Job summary

Stonegate Group in the West Midlands is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the Financial Reporting team. You will ensure the integrity of accounting records and support consolidation, reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries, with strict deadlines.

The role involves IFRS 16 lease accounting using MRI ProLease and Excel, year-end processes, intercompany reconciliations, and a transition to electronic filing in 2028.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant credentials with up to 2 years PQE and strong technical skills.
• Experience with MS Dynamics 365/Navision is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate accounting for transactions at entity and Group level for reliable reporting.
• Prepare and post journals for IFRS 16 lease accounting using MRI ProLease and Excel.
• Support year end audit and balance sheet reconciliations; be a point of contact for external auditors.
• Prepare subsidiary statutory accounts using Excel and Word and file on time.
