Job summary

Distinct | B Corp in West Leeds seeks a Financial Accountant for a large, well-run finance function. The role centers on month-end and quarterly reporting, and balance sheet work with exposure to senior leadership.

The ideal candidate is newly qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with IFRS knowledge, strong Excel, and the ability to lead meetings and explain numbers clearly in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, newly qualified welcome.
• Experience in a large organisation, in industry or audit.
• IFRS knowledge.
• Strong Excel.
• Comfortable leading meetings with senior stakeholders and explaining the numbers clearly.
• Organised and calm under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly results delivered to group timetables and accounting policy.
• Deliver financial information for external and internal reporting submissions.
• Perform month-end balance sheet and working capital analysis.
• Support balance sheet governance: review reconciliations and resolve issues early.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation; participate in group projects.
