Job Description

Financial Accountant – Europe & The Americas (12 month FTC)

Location – Milton Keynes, UK (Hybrid role)

This is a 12 month contract for Maternity cover, end date June 2026.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for European and American entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP requirements.
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including intercompany balances and foreign currency transactions, accurately and timely.
• Support statutory reporting, external audits, and tax filings, liaising with auditors and tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations such as VAT, GST, corporate tax, and transfer pricing.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, financial policies, and processes for compliance and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for system improvements and automation within finance.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reports as needed by management.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 3-5+ years of experience in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and local statutory reporting.
• Experience in an international, multi-entity environment, preferably in Europe & The Americas.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) and Excel.
• Experience working with external auditors and tax authorities.
• Solid experience with month-end close processes, reconciliations, and journal postings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment.

This role reports to the Controller, EMEA.
