Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is seeking an ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified (or finalist) Financial Accountant for a growing manufacturing business. You will work closely with the Financial Controller, with a dotted line to the Finance Director, ensuring accurate records and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified or finalist.
• Experience as Financial Accountant/Group Reporting Accountant.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Recording, reviewing, and reconciling general ledger entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Managing month-end and year-end processes.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
• Preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Monitoring and reconciling bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Assisting with tax filings, including VAT, corporate tax, and other regulatory submissions.
• Analysing financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate historical financial data.
• Maintaining proper documentation and internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.

Job description

An exciting opportunity for an ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified Accountant to join a growing company within the manufacturing industry as a Financial Accountant.
