Financial Accountant

Role: Financial Accountant

Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £45-60K + Benefits

Our client is a leader in the chemical/pharmaceutical space and is looking for a financial accountant to join their well-established team. You will report to the Financial Controller. This is a brilliant role for someone that wants to join a larger business and gain exposure to a multi-business/multi-country environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Monthly reporting of the business results to the parent arm
2. US GAAP Reconciliation accounting entries
3. VAT accounting/reporting
4. Management/reconciliation of the group's intercompany balances
5. Cash & treasury management
6. Preparation/review of monthly lease accounting entries
7. Preparation/review of monthly reconciliations in the above and other areas such as intangibles and investments
8. Management of finance data for insurance renewals/finance liaison with insurance brokers
9. Capex tracking and fixed asset registers
10. Ensuring the business maintains accurate documentation and controls evidence for SOX compliance
11. Management of company credit cards
12. Preparation and posting of period end journals
13. Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure statutory accounts are produced in a timely manner
14. Preparation of the business corporation tax analysis as required

Essential Experience:

1. ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified (First time movers considered)
2. Ideally, some exposure to the pharma, chemical or engineering/manufacturing industry
3. SOX / US GAAP (Ideal but not essential)
4. Listed / Stock Exchange Entity experience (Ideal but not essential)
