Financial Accountant - Shrewsbury (Hybrid Working)

Due to continued growth, a highly respected accountancy practice based in Shrewsbury is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant. This role offers hybrid working from home and excellent career development opportunities.

As a Financial Accountant, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors, preparing accounts and providing tailored advice to support their business objectives. You will work closely with clients to deliver added-value services, including insights on efficiencies, controls, and processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage client portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of accounts
2. Analyze financial statements and provide guidance and advice
3. Review junior staff work, offering feedback and supporting their professional growth

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, ACA, ICAEW or equivalent) with experience in preparing statutory accounts
• Up-to-date knowledge of legislation and compliance requirements
• Proficient in IT, including Excel and accounting software (Xero, IRIS, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
• Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills
