My client is recruiting for a new Financial Accountant role based in Reigate.

Job Description

• Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements for various entities.
• Work closely with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
• Handle IFRS adjustments and contribute to the creation of Finance Board Reports.
• Assess VAT-related matters and provide support on tax issues for UK and Ireland entities.
• Drive improvements within the finance team while fostering collaboration with colleagues.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and monitor financial transactions.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting to support business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Support cash flow management and financial planning activities.

The Successful Applicant

• Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and liaising with external auditors.
• Good working knowledge of VAT.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and other financial tools.
• Part-qualified accountant or studying towards an accountancy qualification.
• Previous experience working as a Financial Accountant in the insurance industry is a plus.
