Job summary

Forvis Mazars LLP is seeking a proactive Accountant to join our finance team in Leeds. The role supports accurate financial reporting, statutory accounts, group consolidations, and year-end audit activities, delivering insight to drive business performance and decision-making.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support monthly and annual reporting, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or finalist with relevant experience.
• Proven experience in a management or financial accounting role.
• Experience supporting or managing year-end procedures and liaising with external auditors.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting entries including accruals and prepayments in line with accounting standards.
• Analyse and highlight risks and opportunities within the cost base and wider business performance.
• Deliver targeted financial reporting to support decision-making and drive behavioural change.
• Support the planning and delivery of monthly reporting and annual financial statements.
